Austin Ogle - Head Coach, Barclay College (Haviland, KS)

June 2, 2021

Hey Mike, I wanted to reach out to you about any available players you may have. I still have 2021 roster positions available too. So if you have uncommitted seniors I would be happy to talk to them too. Do you have an email address that I can send some basic information about who we are and what we are all about?

Barclay College Bears

Men’s Soccer Program Overview 2021-2022

Mission:

To improve results on the field every day, while building a culture respect and integrity in a Christ centered environment.

Short Term Vision:

To create a unified team culture where players are held to high standards both on the field and in the classroom.

Long Term Visions:

Barclay College Soccer will be positive influences in the community and their relationships.

We will contend yearly for conference titles and for our place at the national tournament.

Barclay College Soccer will be involved leaders on campus both spiritually and academically.

Expectations:

1.     Relationships

a.      Treat all people with dignity and respect. Communicate with others in a positive way. We want everyone we come in contact with to be better for meeting us.

2.     Community

a.      Players will be involved in Community service, being a part of making their surroundings a better place and helping those in need.

3.     Campus

a.      Players are expected to be at all home sporting events and student government events. Being involved in this way shows support for others and build unity throughout the entire school. This will enrich your time here at Barclay and is a great opportunity to build relationships with new people.

4.     Spiritually

a.      Players are expected to attend and engage at chapel twice each week, and to participate in small groups, either as a leader or participant. Our goal is to grow spiritually. Everyone is in different places in the journey but as long as we continue to grow and learn that is all I can ask.

5.     Class                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    a.   Academics come first. All absences from class result in extra conditioning for the team. Failing grades are unacceptable and will result in automatic study halls with me. Grade trackers will be completed and turned in every two weeks.

6.     Team

a.      Players are always expected to be 100% ready at the start of each team function (be on time). Players are expected to hold each other accountable anywhere they go, and to strive for harmony with each other. Being a part of our team means putting the teams needs first.
