A New Era for Baytown Saints

Commissioner Tom S. Ramsey, P.E. and Harris County Precinct 3 have been fundamental in the ongoing operations and success of the Baytown Saints Youth Soccer Club. Following the pivotal redistricting transition from Precinct 2 to Precinct 3, BSYSC went from a club historically left in the shadows to one empowered by unprecedented local government collaboration. Today, we work hand-in-hand with Precinct 3 leadership to drastically improve the quality of service provided to the City of Baytown, its residents, and the surrounding areas.

Through his community-first vision and political will, Commissioner Ramsey immediately targeted the revitalization of our existing irrigation infrastructure. The Baytown Soccer Complex was initially constructed with a state-of-the-art irrigation system that unfortunately sat idle under the previous Precinct 2 administration and past BSYSC management. In close collaboration, that infrastructure has now been completely overhauled. The pump station was retrofitted with brand-new pumps and modern control systems, and the irrigation valves were fully replaced. Today, the entire system is fully automated, guaranteeing a soccer pitch that is second to none. This vital restoration was made possible solely by Commissioner Ramsey's leadership and vision—with every step executed under strict fiscal responsibility.

Building on this momentum, Commissioner Ramsey is working tirelessly to increase our facility's overall capacity. Currently, the complex operates with only two lighted fields. However, BSYSC is collaborating closely with the Commissioner to retrofit the current lighting system and successfully illuminate the additional six fields—again, operating with that same strict fiscal responsibility. Once these much-needed lights are added, Baytown Saints Youth Soccer Club can permanently remove our artificial capacity cap. This vital expansion will allow us to safely ramp up from 600 players to a potential 2,300 kids, and host approximately 1,200 games per year.
