Light The Pitch
Securing a ~$200,000 LED infrastructure upgrade to build the premier evening soccer complex in Baytown.
A True Collaborative Partnership
When the current club management took over BSYSC and Harris County Precinct 3 took over the complex, we inherited several operational challenges. Since then, we have been working in a true, ongoing partnership to address them together.
Two years ago, we collectively tackled the failing irrigation system. Precinct 3 handled the massive infrastructure, committing roughly $400,000 to retrofit the pump station. In turn, BSYSC handles the fields—we have poured significant club funds into leveling our 320 irrigation heads and replacing any that are broken or near the end of their life.
This agreement is a true partnership: the county handles the major infrastructure, and we handle the on-field execution. Responsibilities and costs are spread evenly between the county and the club to ensure our complex thrives.
The $20,000 Gap
Because we collaborate on an ongoing basis, Commissioner Tom Ramsey has agreed to team up with us on our next major shared goal: a ~$200,000 LED lighting upgrade. This project will completely replace aging fixtures with state-of-the-art LEDs and add brand-new lighting to expand coverage to two additional fields.
We pushed our resources to the absolute limit and poured our savings into this because our kids deserve the premier evening lights in the county. But right now, we are heartbreakingly close. We are currently $20,000 short of crossing the finish line. If we cannot bridge this final gap, we risk leaving a ~$200,000 county investment on the table.
Our Teams = 1 Goal
We are putting this in the hands of our teams. We are asking every player to make a $40 contribution. If we get to 100% collection per team, looking at the spread of our teams, we will successfully reach our goal.
