STYSA Coaches
Requirements

Real-time verification of USYS SafeSport, Background Check, and Heads Up compliance across all active teams.

MANDATORY CHILD SAFETY POLICY: ZERO TOLERANCE

This is a strict South Texas Youth Soccer Association (STYSA) and US Soccer mandate designed entirely around player safety. These requirements ensure that everyone interacting with our youth athletes has a verified clean background, understands proper behavioral boundaries, and knows how to react to potentially life-threatening head injuries.

Because this is a fundamental safety matter, BSYSC cannot physically roster a coach to a team in the GotSport software if they have incomplete coaching requirements (Background Check, SafeSport, Heads Up Concussion). The system will not allow it.

CRITICAL ENFORCEMENT

This is a mandatory requirement for player safety. Coaches cannot conduct practices if they are not "On The Green." If they do conduct practices—whether at the Baytown Soccer Complex or anywhere else—with BSYSC registered players for the 2026-2027 seasonal year without all requirements met, BSYSC will have no other option than to remove them from being Head Coach immediately.
