  •  WHAT IF I MISSED REGISTRATION? WHERE DO I GO TO REGISTER?

IF YOU MISSED ONE OF OUR ONSITE REGISTRATIONS, YOU CAN REGISTER USING THE ONLINE STATE

REGISTRATION PORTAL. PLEASE VISIT  WWW.BAYTOWNSAINTS.ORG

  • WHY DO I NEED TO PUT MY EMAIL ADDRESS WHEN I REGISTER?

YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS PROVIDES THE CLUB (AND COACHES) THE ABILITY TO KEEP IN

COMMUNICATIONS WITH YOU THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. YOU WILL BE NOTIFIED OF CAMPS,

REGISTRATION OR ANYTHING THAT CHANGES WITHIN THE BAYTOWN SAINTS YOUTH SOCCER

ORGANIZATION. COACHES HAVE ALSO STARTED USING THE Got Soccer SYSTEM TO KEEP IN

COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE PARENTS OF THE PLAYERS. IT IS A GREAT TOOL AND GIVES THEM ANOTHER

WAY TO KEEP PARENTS UP TO DATE.

  • WHO WILL BE THE COACH OF MY TEAM?

ALL COACHES ARE VOLUNTEERS. THEY ARE USUALLY A PARENT ON THE TEAM. BAYSA (AND BSYS) CURRENTLY REQUIRES A LICENSE FOR THE AGE GROUP YOU ARE COACHING AFTER ONE YEAR.

THE FEES VARY DEPENDING ON THE AGE GROUP. EVERY AGE PAYS THE STATE AND LOCAL

ASSOCIATION FEE, FIELD MAINTENANCE FEE, REFEREE FEES, ADMINISTRATION FEE, SECONDARY INSURANCE AND UNIFORM FEE.

  • WAYS TO VOLUNTEER?

BECAUSE EVERY PERSON HAS DIFFERENT SKILL SETS, A VOLUNTEER CAN PERFORM JUST ONE OR TWO DUTIES WHICH CAN HELP THE ORGANIZATION GROW. A COUPLE OF EXAMPLES OF WAYS TO HELP

WOULD BE: (HELPING WITH FIELD STRIPPING, HELPING DURING FIELD WORK DAYS, HELPING WITH COMPETITIVE TEAMS TRYOUTS, HELPING WITH TOURNAMENTS, ETC.)

SHOES AND SHIN GUARDS AND DRINKING WATER FOR EVERY PRACTICE AND GAME.

  • WHAT DOES THE “U” STAND FOR IN THE AGE GROUPS?

THE “U” MEANS UNDER (U‐10 MEANS UNDER 10). WHAT LEVEL YOU WILL PLAY ON WILL

DEPEND ON YOUR KIDS' BIRTHDATES. WHATEVER THE AGE IS AFTER AUG 1 AND BEFORE JULY 31,

THIS WILL DETERMINE THE AGE GROUP THAT THEY WILL PLAY IN.

EXAMPLE: IF THE PLAYERS BIRTH DATE IS AUG 1 (OR AFTER) AND THEY TURN 9, THEN THEY WOULD

BE PLAYING UNDER 9 FOR THE SEASON. IF THE PLAYERS BIRTH DATE IS JULY 31 OR BEFORE AND

THEY TURN 9 THEN THEY WOULD BE PLAYING in the UNDER 10 AGE GROUP FOR THE SEASON.

  • WHAT DAYS WILL MY TEAM PRACTICE AND HOW MANY TIMES A WEEK?

MOST TEAMS WILL PRACTICE 1‐2 DAYS A WEEK, EITHER MON/WED OR TUE/THU. THE PRACTICE

ALL U‐06 (4 AND 5 YEARS OLD) TEAMS ARE "IN‐HOUSE" TEAMS WILL PLAY ALL OF THEIR GAMES

THE U‐08 (6 AND 7 YEARS OLD) TEAMS WILL PLAY INTERLEAGUE WITH EAST LAKE HOUSTON YOUTH SOCCER ASSN. (CROSBY) AND WILL MOST LIKELY PLAY IN BAYTOWN, CROSBY AND MAYBE DAYTON (TO BE DETERMINED).

ALL OLDER TEAMS (U‐09 AND UP) ARE CONSIDERED TRAVELING TEAMS. TRAVELING TEAMS PLAY

TEAMS OF THE SAME AGE FROM OTHER BAYSA (LOCAL ASSOCIATION) CLUBS. THIS MEANS THAT

HALF OF YOUR GAMES WILL BE PLAYED AT HOME AND THE OTHER HALF WILL BE PLAYED IN PLACES

LIKE QUEST (DEER PARK – LA PORTE), PEARLAND, FRIENDSWOOD, CLEAR LAKE, TEXAS CITY,

THE BOARD FOR APPROVAL BEFORE TEAM FORMATIONS TAKE PLACE.

  • CAN MY CHILD PLAY WITH HIS FRIEND OR NEIGHBOR?

THE BAYTOWN SAINTS FORMS ITS RECREATIONAL TEAMS BASED ON A BLIND DRAFT. THE

COMPETITIVE TEAMS IN OUR LEAGUE ARE FORMED BY COACHES EVALUATING PLAYER TALENT AT

OUR CLUB TRY OUTS. FROM THERE, THE COACH(ES) THEN SELECT THEIR TEAM BASED ON TALENT

AND PLAYER AVAILABILITY. THAT BEING SAID, IF THERE IS ONLY ONE TEAM IN A DIVISION, THEN

THAT REQUEST SHOULD BE HONORED. HOWEVER, IF THERE ARE MORE THAN ONE TEAM IN A

DIVISION THAT REQUEST MAY NOT BE ABLE TO BE ACCOMMODATED.
